A good first pass takes a few minutes.
1. Check the bot's permissions
Open Settings and look at the bot status. If anything is missing it tells you what to fix.
Warning
The bot's role must sit above any role you want it to give or remove (welcome roles, level rewards, verification roles). Drag it up in Discord under Server Settings > Roles.
2. Choose your modules
Open Modules (or Settings) and switch on only what you want. A module that is off does nothing and is hidden from the sidebar.
3. Set your staff roles
Under Settings pick the roles that count as staff. These roles can use staff-only features such as ticket claims and staff notes.
4. Greet new members
Open Welcome, choose a channel and write a message. Add auto-roles if you like.
5. Open a way for members to reach you
Set up Tickets or Suggestions so members have somewhere to go.
6. Protect the server
Turn on Automod and Anti-Raid, and set a log channel in Moderation Logs.
7. Take a backup
Save a copy of your roles and channels in Server Backups before you change a lot.
